Rui Xuan graduated with a degree in Psychology and started his career in Autism with a Special School in Singapore. He then moved on to specialise in ABA therapy. Throughout his career with helping children with special needs, he gained deep insight of behavioural management, emotional regulation, and the importance of patience and empathy when supporting kids with diverse learning and developmental needs.
It feels purposeful being in the psychology field as he feels fulfilled when he is able to help an individual overcome their struggles. Rui Xuan is determined to pursue a long-term pathways within the helping professions, particularly in areas such as behavioural therapy.
Outside of work, he values maintaining a balanced lifestyle through social activities with my friends like engaging in basketball, cycling, and spending time outdoors as maintaining personal wellbeing is essential when supporting others.
Rui Xuan hopes to grow in an environment that allows him to contribute positively, deepen his understanding and experience that can better support individuals and families with special needs.
