Psychological assessment is a standardized and scientific method used to measure an individual’s functioning and ability relative to population norms. It serves to uncover clinically significant areas of concern, determine the nature and severity, make appropriate diagnosis, and guide the treatment plan.

Eulisia is an Educational Psychologist registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologist (SRP). She has extensive experience in child and educational psychology across the lifespan through her employment with Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS), Metta School, Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) and various private clinics.
For most clinics and hospitals, the entire process (including waiting time) can take between 1 month to 6 months. At AutismSTEP, we prioritise your time and urgency. The whole process, from the date of assessment to submission of the report, can be done within 2 weeks.
Our assessments are administered by psychologists that have numerous years of experience working with children with Autism specifically. Therefore they are better able to engage your child and not let any behavioural or attention issues interfere with the assessment. The assessment results are reflective of the true ability of your child & the difficulties that he/she is facing.

Especially for children with special needs, an unfamiliar environment (such as a clinic) is often stressful and anxiety-provoking, and assessment performance of your child may be compromised. With us, your needs come first. Our assessments are done at your child’s home environment to ensure your child is familiar, comfortable, and therefore better able to engage in the assessment. Under some situations, we do conduct home based assessment so as to improve the accuracy of the assessment.
We abide by the hallmarks of gold-standard clinical psychological assessment, which include the following:
- initial consultation session
- assessment sessions which involve clinical interviews, psychometric testing and obtaining of corroborative information;
- feedback session, where the report will be provided and explained in detail.
All reports are recognized for the purposes of MOE, SEAB and SPED School application. For families applying for MOE special education placement and services, we recognise the convoluted application process and how it can be overwhelming for the family. We will personally walk you through the entire application process and even provide concierge service with the paperwork submissions.
For families whose primary language is Mandarin, deciphering and making sense of the assessment report may pose a challenge. Though the assessments are still conducted in English, our initial consultation session and feedback session to explain the assessment report can be done in Mandarin so that you can better understand your child’s condition or diagnosis, functioning level and needs.
