Claire graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology.
She was a Peer Educator where she delivered wellbeing initiatives to individuals. Through motivational interviewing, she supported students in exploring their concerns, encouraged positive behavioural change and promoted help-seeking behaviours.
During her psychology studies, she especially enjoyed developmental psychology because it taught her how important early experiences and intervention can be in shaping a child’s development. On a personal level, seeing her sister grow up with ADHD and benefit from the right support reinforced for her how much of a difference early intervention can make. Although ADHD and autism are different, that experience strengthened her interest in working with children with developmental needs and supporting them to reach their full potential.
Claire is patient, empathetic and always willing to learn. She enjoys receiving feedback because she sees it as an opportunity to improve, and she likes challenging herself to keep growing both personally and professionally. Her goal is to build a career where she can make a positive difference in people’s lives, and she hopes to continue developing the knowledge and skills needed to become the best practitioner she can be.
