Sherlyn is currently pursuing her degree in psychology. She has always wanted to be a therapist because she cares deeply about mental health and supporting people through their challenges. She feels like the kind of work that allows her to make a real difference in someone’s life. It’s meaningful and hands-on, and she is drawn to the idea of supporting others in a way that’s practical and personal. Also, Sherlyn always had a heart for people with autism.
Sherlyn have prior experience working with special needs adults and children. She has been teaching academic subjects to children with special needs, and supporting them in daily learning. She also volunteered weekly for the past two years at her church’s special needs ministry, where she will be dealing with adults who have autism—engaging with them.
