Karen

Karen graduated with a double degree in Psychology and Communication and Media Studies. She also holds a professional certification in Autism.

Karen started her career as a Special Needs Educator in 2019. She needs to find the best way to manage behaviours while customising the learning materials to fit the students’ needs better. She find great joy and satisfaction in her work when adapting and implementing autism specific strategies that were customised for each student. She was able to help teach and reinforce some of the learning strategies implemented and see visible improvements in the child’s behaviour.

When Karen has time for hobbies, she enjoys doing crochet and knitting. Crocheting helps her to relax after a long day and reflect on what happened during the day.
