Barbara holds a Degree in Psychology and is passionate about supporting individuals with special needs.

She started off her career as a teacher for the primary school children and because of her exposure, she has grew a strong interest towards children with special needs.

She has always been passionate about volunteering and had volunteered with Grassroots, assisting in community events such as Chingay, Halloween celebrations, and Edusave award ceremonies. Her volunteer duties involved crowd control, event coordination, supporting seniors during outings, door-to-door outreach, and managing publicity within residential areas. This work has strengthened her ability to engage with diverse individuals and understand different needs, including those of vulnerable populations.

Barbara is skilled in active listening, behavioural observation, and managing challenging situations calmly. She values teamwork and take initiative when needed. Her personal belief is that every individual deserves patience, understanding, and consistent support to help them reach their full potential.
