As an aspiring educator, Edmund had upheld the position as a Student Care Teacher where he has been extensively involved in teaching students from a broad range of background including children with special needs. Edmund also worked at St Andrew Autism Center where he facilitated vocational and community living skills training to individuals with moderate to severe autism. Being keen to learn more about managing meltdowns, he went beyond his work requirement to attend courses in aggression intervention and had equipped himself with the skills in defusing potential meltdowns. In addition, to further strengthen his skills in assessment and clinical interviewing, he went on to embark on a program where he received mentorship in carrying out assessment and develop rehabilitation plans for youth probationers. These exposures had equipped him with the interpersonal skills working alongside with autism community and the foundational knowledge in case management.
